If you wish to practice as a Nurse or Midwife in Australia, you must first obtain registration through the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA). Applications are reviewed and assessed by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) on behalf of the NMBA.
Qualification
B.Sc. / Post B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Nursing / GNM+ GCAN
(Graduate Certificate in Advanced Nursing)
Work Experience
Minimum of 3 months or 460 hours experience as a Registered Nurse in the last five years.
Recent Graduates applying for registration for the first time are required to meet this eligibility criteria.
English Language Requirements
Any one of the below tests is acceptable.
(Clubbing scores are acceptable but note that two test sittings must not be more than One year apart. Please check for eligibility of your clubbing scores.)
IELTS Score overall 7 - individuals 6.5 in Writing and other modules 7
OET score of C+ in Writing and other modules B
PTE Academic Proficient score
